The vast majority of ophthalmic surgery is now performed in the day surgery setting. The Ophthalmic Surgery
Centre was established in 1997 to meet the needs of ophthalmologists for a dedicated eye day surgical
centre.
The centre is licensed by the NSW Department of Health, and accredited with the Australian Council of
Health Care Standards (ACHS) and observe their strict day procedure guidelines. Patients Australia-wide
and overseas choose our centre and our highly trained and skilled ophthalmologists for their surgical
procedures and care.
The Ophthalmic Surgery Centre provides customised, state of the art equipment and instrumentation.
This is maintained to the highest standard by a team of sterilisation professionals and facilitates
optimal patients outcomes. A highly trained and well-resourced nursing team creates a warm, safe and
private individual environment in their delivery of health care.
